Billie Rox Review:

A 'theme' bar who take that word seriously - every night has something different, from Madonna look-a-likes to the 'famous' duelling piano's on a weekend - we've only been in once, and it's definately one of those venues for stag or hen nights. Drinks prices are average, and service is reasonable - this bar doesn't stand out in the busy Manchester crowd and it's location and clientel don't help it. Bars like this don't push the boundaries, or put Manchester on the map - it's a cash cow for a brewery with too much money and too few ideas.

Oh my god, what a god awful hole. Its where dinnerladies go to pull, fat old men go to letch and young boys who smell of lynx and brut go to hunt scalley mingers (or maybe thats their only choice in this place). Entertainment is in the form of spotty 17 year olds up on stage encouraging aforementioned mingers to remove items of clothing and wouldn't you know it, they did. We were dressing them with our eyes. If they gave beer away I still wouldn't go back.

Never going there again full of scallys! Got elbowed in the head by a fat biffa n nver said sorry! Same old crap tunes not 2 mention the old perverts tryin 2 cop with any1 in sight! Drinks arent 2 cheap either! My advice dont go!

we bum jumpin jaks, we r there every friday n saturday nite. the music is really good 2 dance 2 the guys we find r quite fit. the bouncers, bar staff n djs r really friendly!!!!!!! the only thing wrong wit jumpin jaks is they never have straws!

Great place to go if u want cheesy tunes n r up 4 a laugh! If u go b4 11 on a fri nite its buy 1 get 1 free! Bargain! If u've not been b4 ur missing out! p.s the dj on fri nights gorgeous! Phwoar! (but apparently gay!)

good selection of cheesy oldtime classics which are guaranteed 2 get u moving. it is a rite laugh not the most trendy modern place 2go but the atmosphere is top. a lot of the people who go there are older but not all of them. go there when ur a bit pissed and the music and dancers are guaranteed 2 get u on a high. good place 2 go with the girls not so good 4 pulling fit guys.

This was possibly the worst bar I have ever been in Manchester. This place was like a large convention for drunk salesmen. Nearly everyone there was 35+, the tunes were eurovisionesque. Besides this waiting at the bar was like re-enacting David Blane's recent stunts.

I go every thursday early on bout 9pm and its pretty good. But the lst two weeks the drinks prices have shot up whats going on???????? It went from 75pence a bottle to ?2.60!!!!! Good atmosphere though and good oldie music.

Great bar as long as you dont over do it. Bar staff are muppets they dont serve lads for ages which gets fustrating. Its different though and a dead good laugh. A must for any1 who enjoys a Blackpool type atmosphere!

I first went in here a few months ago and thought it was great-free 2 get in most of the time, cheap drinks n good atmosphere (plus i met my guy there!). After a few times i started to get a bit sick of it and drinks got really expensive and wasn't looking forward to going last sat, but thought id give it one last chance....guess what? it was fab, the atmosphere was amazing. It was Union Jack wkend, the day before englands first match. E

Simply one of the best bars I've been to (trust me - I have been to a few!!) The atmosphere is superb; dualling pianos; guests dancing on the stage (and on the Pianos); bartenders dancing on the bar! (though a bit anoying if you are waiting for a dring). Try it!

Karaoke night here is a laugh if there is a group of you and you are tipsy. Bar staff do great dance routines and it is just such a laugh!!
