Dog and Partridge

Dog and Partridge

Our Dog and Partridge Review

Leading the charge against the rise of chain bars and restaurants on East Didsbury High street, The Dog and Partridge is, as it's name suggests, very much a traditional boozer, with low ceilings, cheery locals and the usual drinks on offer. Very comforting though and a good option when you're sick of the personality-devoid chain bars around it. What Americans would probably call "cute".

This pub has gone downhill very quickly in recent times. It used to be a great local but now it serves poor tasting beer and feels like it could do with a clean from top to bottom. It's always busy so I guess the landlord feels no need to bring the pub back to where it once was, as he is too busy counting the cash!! To be avoided!!

My local - good atmosphere - sometimes a bit too busy - but on the whole a very good pub - flat screen TV's show football whenever it is on.

Love it. "Old" pub with a "young" crowd. Lots of sport but minus a point cos it gets too busy and those BLOODY MONKEY NUTS!!!

By far the best pub in Didsbury! Great locals friendly barstaff laid back and comfortable, it does what it says on the box, it is a pub, nothing more nothing less, no fancy drinks or faffing about image and pretending to be cool, it just is. Real pub with real people.
