Edwards Review:

Another chain bar that attempts to be much more, devoid of atmosphere and any sort of class, despite walking past it on many occasions we simply can't be convinced to enter, and the bouncers on the door make sure that even if we did; they'd make it damm hard anyways.

Not particularly recommended.

what a great place to chill on a saturday such nice people everyone is really cool , was there on the 18-08 was a saturday , there was an asian guy , cream jacket and white shirt , was having drinks with a friend at the tables before the stairs left at about 11pm , hoped to see you again, think that you might have left something behind , i was with two mates did not get to speak to you ,if you do drop me an email at...tsjudah09@yahoo.co.uk hope to hear from you Edwards is rocking definatly recomended.

we found the door staff friendly,welcoming and perfectly acceptable on the eyes.more importantly, their impeccable timing is astonishing! This is essential due to some,not all,of the men who think that women are there to be harrassed,groped and are all up for an 'after show' party!!! Putting this to one side,you can get a chilled bottle of pinot grigio,served with a smile,for under 7 pounds.GO ENJOY!!

Went out there a few eeks ago , had a blast the music was great , bouncers were friendly , people were just out to have fun, me and my mates danced the entire night and were sad when it was time to leave ,great for R N B lovers,great mix of people.

Went there on Friday night. We were just finding the nearest bar and that was Edwards. The music was too loud really - could talk. Also there was a lack of fit beautiful women. Lets just say there were lots of women on the larger size. Also took ages to get served. Only stayed for 1 drink. There in the middle of refurbishment but you still see work-in-progress stuff and not really curtained off

This is a wicked bar to go to. Think these reviews are way past their sell by date. The prices are reasonable to say it is in the city centre. The bouncers seemed fine to me and the staff OK as well. If you want a cheapish chilled out night then this is the place to go. It has improved greatly.

it you love RnB then this is the club for you. It has great big comfy sofas for you to chill on if you have been dancing to hard to the great RnB that they play. This is NOT a black club what ever that means it is a club for people who love their RnB. Great atmosphere you don't need to feel intimidated people are there to just shack out and have a good time. Highly recommended.

like most the other people, i found the doorstaff extremely rude and obnoxious. The bar staff were equally unfriendly and every time they walked past me they'd give me and my friend dirty looks! The only bonus about this place is the music.

i'm from lomdon and on my first trip to manchester, my friend suggested this club and i had a brilliant time !! my only disappointment was that the club closes quite early as here in london our clubs dont close till 5.30 in the morning !!

Not entirely sure what type of person gives Edwards a five rating. Only times I've ever been in there I was meeting some people who don't know the area. The beer was possible the worst beer I've had, and it only sells rubbish just to make it worse. Mmm, flat and warm wee. It's a definate scally place. As you can tell by the fact that the people who have given it 5* use stupid text abbreviations in their reviews...

Have been to Edwards a few times when meeting mates staying at the hotel across the road. All the reviewers on here who have given it 5/5 work for Edwards and are probably based at their head office down south somewhere. Honestly its awful, if you're in Manchester why go to a bar that you could find in any other town?

I'm very sorry but Edwards is one of the best bars in manchester if you enjoy r'n'b, hip hop and bashment music. Over the past two months it has become alot more popular and the atmosphere is warm and fun. I think a new review should be posted on the website because your current one is far from the truth.
