Font Review:

A chilled hang-out, with warm friendly dėcor, and lovely split level hide-outs. Downstairs is one big floor, with huge sofa's and big chunky tables, whilst upstairs is a stair manufacturers heaven: three split levels, lots of little hide-aways and a lovely cosy atmosphere.

Bar service is usually prompt, and the atmopshere on Friday & Saturday nights is pretty much 'spot on'. The DJs in there are undiscovered gems, and whilst its often hard to tie down the genre of music that they're playing, its easy to see why it gets so busy. Atmospherically, and in some cases musically, it has to be one of our favourite bars, if not for those reasons then simply because the crowd is made up of quite a few stunners! Highly recommended.

Font is better than a pretentious bar next door. I used to dj at Club Code/Generation X as it was known and it was wicked. Now called PureSpace its a restaraunt with no atmosphere and dj's that cant cut or mix. Cheers guys another club ruined by chancers. Plenty of places to eat and no decent clubs.Manchester is living on its history. Font is free and better.

Djing in the basement at font on Saturday night, starting at 10.30 with funky hip hop then progressing to breakbeat and real house music. If you remember when the hacienda dictated new music to the world, be there. More importantly, if you missed this era be there. 20/11/04

Avoid at all costs on a Friday night. Full of wannabees hanging out with nobodies. The place is too full and you cant even hear the DJs nevermind the person sitting next to you.

Font is a s**t hot space that plays top music for top peeps. The best student bar going. To anyone who likes real alt music, (I'm not talking about the same old Manc indie thats played in every club in M'chester) I'm talking about disco punk, punk rock, garage bands, electro, alt 80's and any other odd random bollox from any part of the world. Thursday, April 3rd saw the launch party of Why wait? and what a night! Big praise to Dave Rigby for organising it, James Huxley was feeling the groove all night and Lekkey was flawless, don't think i've seen that many people anywhere on a thursday night. My message to anyone reading this is look out for these guys, they are incredible and they will be back!

I was at the website party on the 9th and loved this venue, really cool design and some nice features..will be dragging some of my friends here next weekend! Fantastic music by the way, the tunes really hit the spot and you had me dancing till they turned the lights up! Shame it was a 1:15 close and not any later.

The Font is cool, especially the top barman Tom. The bargirls are quite sexy too. The food is excellent and the atmosphere top quality. The best student bar around. Shame the bouncers on saturday nites are tossers tho.
