Hillary Step

Our Hillary Step Review

For year's the word was that within the boundaries of Whalley Range you weren't allowed to open a pub. Without the Whalley on Upper Chorlton Road there was nothing to quench the thirst unless you stayed on the 86 bus all the way to Chorlton.
Then Palmiro appeared and subsequently The Hillary Step came on the scene. Named after the legendary point on Everest this pub opened and was ahead of its time by banning smoking and it seems to be doing a jolly trade for the more discerning Ranger.

A great little bar, smoke free before the change in the law. Some stunning ales and REAL lagers. A real treat for those who like to consume only quality drinks.
