Loud and packed every week night; even louder and more packed at the weekends. Drink Marston's Pedigree and watch the flotsam and jetsam of the band T-shirts, 'alternative' garb and unwashed hair drift by - if you can bear to.

If watching skint students nurse a bottle of beer all night is your thing then this is the place for you. Barstaff very rude and condescending. If your over 19 AVOID. (Jez, if you're in the student area, you should know what to expect - Ed.)

If you're bored from the normal routine of indie bands.... check out April Gunn playing Jabez this Sunday 7th December 2008 in the battle of the bands final. They're worth checking out believe me, I play drums for the c*nts. Alternatively check out www.myspace.com/aprilgunn.

This Place is Brilliant!...first went when i was 17 (was in no way a scally though!) had a really fantastic night, the doorstaff were friendly enough, the music was ace (manchester anthems, 70's 80's + 90's in the main room....and dance and R+B in the other room). i cant fault this place one bit..cheap drinks too, so definately somewhere to go on a lads night out. ps the student thing IS true...but its not THAT bad...will be in soon!

I love JC's. I go there every Friday night and I have met lots of quality mature ladies. My favourite part of the night is when Chesney comes on, I go wild and the women love it when I get my air drums out.

Jabez Clegg now has excellent bands on. Its bigger than other band venues, drinks are cheaper, and Samosas are served.

This place is the pits. Jesus christ why is this place so popular the music is awfull and so are the people. middle class rich kids who drink about 2 pints and have no style what so ever and the Rugger buggers oh please. It's dead easy get a shag though.

I was septical when I first went I have never heard of it but it is truly great. Everything was so unpretentious absolutely fantastic. Pool tables and a relaxed atmosphere in the bar downstairs . The rooms upstairs are fantastic to playing some top tunes from all types of music. What can I say just what I want from a nite out to be able to feel comfortable and have a relaxing time or a blowout on the dancefloor I'll b going every week from now on!!!

Bin going since we were 15 and were now 18. Its a top night when your pissed. You tell your self every week your not goin back but you know your gonna end up in there next week. The big rooms top but be warned you need to take a towel to wipe off everyones sweat. its full of irish tottie but maybe to many scallies. you know when you go your gonna pull. Overall ace night!

This Place is fantastic. During the week I get frustrated because it's not Saturday, I'm alway's waiting for saturday to come so I can party in this place, the totti is high, the music is great in both rooms, and it's so easy to pull girls their. Jabez is most definetly the best student bar in Manchester. But is costs to get in and the night will be worth the cost

Jabez is AMAZING!!!!
Had my first ever proper nite out here when i started college and been goin for nearly a year now!
Loving the Student Anthems in the main room and the dance in the small room, yeh the floors sticky and the toilets are rank but at the end of the day if your p*ssed it doesnt matter!

Boring boring music, the same as at every damn student night. The same tracks every night, and full of boring people too. I'm in no rush to go back. Not even the dirt cheap price it should be to get in... If you wanna listen to "Summer of 69", "Dancing Queen", and "The Macarena", then hurry on down. But I recommend you don't.

its the most vile,disgusting place in manchester. it is supposed to be a student bar but its expensive to get in and the drinks are ludacrisly priced aswell. i wouldn't go there again if someone paid me.

Jabez is quality, couldnt get any better! Every1 that says they dont like it are lying! Where else can you go where you can listen to such a range of songs, from build me up buttercup to n-trance set you free. Its an amazing night. Its never the same night out, each night it always better than the last!
