This bar is the one of the best in my opinion. I came to Manchester for a weekend to visit friends. On the Sunday I came to New Union and had one of the best times it was fab. The atmosphere was really good and very friendly. I am from Newcastle and I didn't really want to leave Manchester as the scene is far better than Newcastle a lot more choice of bars and clubs. I have rated this bar 5 but if it were out of 10 I would give it 10 out of 10. A good day had by all.

I absolutely love this place, gotta be one of the best venues in the village!!! The door staff are fantastic and the bar staff are soooo friendly! Everthing u need to have a top night out!!

Excellent gay venue at any time other than Saturday night. Made to feel very uncomfortable in there with the rather rough "straight" element. And if I see one more hen party !!!!

take it or leave it, but i agree, the unions pretty good for a laugh, cheap beer and not worrying what to wear, as if theyre bothered in there!

I love this bar, It's really friendly and the staff are really nice, especially the floor staff, check out the one with long hair! Overall the atmosphere is really relaxed and the acts are always good, with the exception of jordan what exactly is her purpose? A good place to start and end a night!

Not being a regular visitor 2 the vill i with my boyf paid my annual trip on New Yrs eve which included my 1st ever venture in2 the New Union + i must say i was not disappointed.The service was 1st class + the entertainment was just as good.Will defo b paying more visits.Keep up the gud work.

No trip to Manchester is complete without a visit to this fantastic pub/club; its main distinction for anyone more used to the London scene is the remarkable friendliness of both staff (especially the older women barmaids who look like they're straight out of Coronation Street) and clientele: even the straights aren't bad for straights, though it has its share of devious faghags. Choice shags in tracksuit bottoms at weekends, and a basic but convenient hotel upstairs; unmissable!

Totaly stright Salford girl think this culb is totaly BANGIN me and me crew are always in on a Friday or Saturday if i dont get id by the stupid bouncers even though im 19 anyhow see ya next week end! ! ! !

TThis bar really really sucks. The rag queens are sooo bad and so are the bar staff. They are old and do not do the place any justice whatsoever. The drinks are over priced the bar staff are rude and never have the drinks you want. The DJ's including the drag queens think they own the place and so do the dj's.

I used to hate this place but over the last year its turned into one of the best place to hang out. Slightly more expensive than other place but you are guaranteed a gr9 night as the music and the performaers are very good indeed.

love getin down in the union gr8 place 2 shake my leg and wiggle my hinda teehe! the bouncer with blonde hair is a blonde bomb shell and id love a dance with er av it !

My dear friend Billie Jean the resident DJ is just amazing I got to know her from by going in the place is so SO friendly and the music is great yeah its not trendy its not hip but it has atmosphere and that is the main thing dont get me wrong I love trendy I wear viv westwood but for a change this is amazing x

i love this palce its my second home here every weekend with my mates regulars know us bouncers know us brendon is gorgeous and well george is just really funny love you guys. staff make this place worth while and i recommend it to anyone i would give this 10/10 if i could and if i could go every night i would x x
