Old Monkey
Our Old Monkey Review
Situated on the corner of Princess Street and Portland Street, The Old Monkey is a friendly homely place - plenty of wood, low ceilings and dim lights. Whilst downstairs seems satisfactory to us - the drinks are quite cheap - upstairs, where you can be served food, was a nightmare. It took us ten minutes to order, and then a further thirty for the food to come - we always thought that bar food should be fast - we then had mix-ups with wrong meals, cold food, and a waitress who kept taking away glasses that were still a quarter full. Overall it's not a bad drinking hole, nothing special in terms of d?cor, but if you're looking for a cheap place to grab a pint then you could do worse.
