Our Paramount Review
Another Wetherspoons addition to Manchester, although more up-market than their other bars. Whilst this bar won't win any awards for space on a Friday or Saturday night, mid-week nights out are much better and you might even find yourself some seating. Downstairs is a a mass of tables, chairs, and punters taking advantage of the cheap drinks. To the rear is the non-smoking section which is generally the restaurant section (and also the location of the toilets) whilst upstairs is a small (30 capacity) mezzanine area which overlooks the main part of the bar.
Aside from that there's very little to say about this bar. It makes a good early evening stop-off, but since there's no music there tends to be very little atmoshere apart from the noise of the drinkers. It tends to be quite a student favourite, possibly because of the budget conscious prices, with the food menu being equally as inexpensive, whilst actually being quite tasty.

Excellent, excellent place. Cheap drinks, food, and friendly bouncers, it's a great place to get started before heading off to the clubs. Hats off to these guys.

Only worth going if you're a Ben Sherman shirt spotter or a cheapskate. No style.
