I attended the re opening of the bar a few weeks ago and was hugely disappointed. The bar was badly stocked and the staff was inexperienced. I was amazed that they weren't offering a free bar and were only doing first drink free... and even then they weren't offering champagne. A truly second rate bar that puts the locks to shame. If I were you I wouldn't bother!

I went in to the bar for a drink last night (a Wed night) - the decor is class and is very relaxing. Had a bite to eat - v nice food, but friday nights are the best coz of the music - funky house !

Went in last night (Tuesday). Good music if not a little cheesier than The Lock used to be. Not changed at all apart from the bar has moved which is an improvement but now it looks like every other bar on the locks. Good DJ's and free bacardi. Consider going again if it wasnt soooo cheezy

Went in a few weeks ago on a Fri night for the first and only time. It's was practically empty (except for some very odd people) at midnight, which was great to get served straight away but completly lacking in atmosphere. The bar/door staff were ok but the manager was up his own a*se. Wouldn't make the effort to go back, although the Locks need a bit of cheeze so I might try it again.

Went down for the new Saturday night "Suck it & see" last Saturday 1st March...the music was great, upfront funky house, great vibe happening. Great venue for a pre club drink...Friendly staff, pleasant surroundings and plenty of eye candy...will be back

cant say nething but good things about this bar...was convinced by the doorman(who is a friend)that it would b a gr8 night and it was...slipped in2 the vip section 4 a while and watched the club fill up...then went 2 the lower floor which was chilled...a place 4 the young and trendy...

what a craphole. Bad service, boring music and drinks prices that make you think you're in London. If I ever go back to this venue again please shoot me.

Pretty boring place, with 'samey' funky house tracks and very little to write home about. Have been twice but that was due to meeting friends in there (We always know it will be empty and we can grab a table!).

Went on a Sunday nite and the place was far too crowded! music was rubbish, mind you it was Howard Donald ex Take That who was DJing!! Left after 5 mins because we couldnt get anywhere near the bar!! Went next door!

Not so great for the over 25s cos its mostly a younger crowd. However, I had no problems getting in apart from an encounter with a snooty female doorperson, and found the service v. good. The music/atmosphere were both great too. A great night out!

Ive been in a few times but never stayed for more than one as it has always been empty. Baa bar door staff advised me to go there to use the cash machine so i didnt have to push past customers or que!!! all in all dissappointing

The bar staff have attitude problems. The place is embarassing. My first time in Manchester and more than likely my last - terrible place.
