A traditional pub housed in a Shakespearian building - so mind those heads, as the centuries have added extra centimetres to our height. Serving ales to the masses, this is generally a quiet place, whilst the local beer-monsters pick avoid it at all costs. This can be used to your advantage for a mid-afternoon drink, or one before you head out. If your plans for the evening involve mad-for-it clubbing then this venue is not for you. If you're after a relaxing drink with friends, or perhaps just somewhere to smoke your pipe in peace, then this might be right up your street.
