It really is amazing how many bars have opened in The Northern Quarter in recent times and what's more they're always rammed!
Socio prides itself on producing some of the finest cocktails this side of...well Blu Bar.

I went here near Xmas time 2010, the cocktails were good quality and the bar staff friendly and ‘easy on the eye’. The clientele however were somewhat pompous (yet the venue isn’t!) so the atmosphere wasn't great and I likely wont go back again due to that.

This bar rocks! - what are the 2 previous blonde shat bag whores on about?!?! They are obviously typical bluu crowd - they need to get back to deansgate locks or brannigans and stop trying to ruin the northern quarter for the rest of us.... anyway that said... Socio is a great bar - polite intelligent staff who make the best drinks and actually care about what they are doing. Amazing cocktails all original and the best i've seen in this country - great tunes and it goes off at weekend - tons of fit birds - if you can avoid the plastic dorris' i mentioned before! Get down quick while it's still buzzing and the masses dont destroy it!

Too busy, dirty toilets, overpriced badly made cocktails, the place is so over rated and personally i think its typical northern quater hype. There are not enough staff in there and its too busy and hot and dirty i know it gets busy butthe staff should go around and collect glasses and clean toilets and wipe up and mop up spills on the floor. Or do they not do cleaning up in the northern quarter...is that uncool ! Blu bar is much nicer go there or mojo.

Too busy and the got a cocktail in a glass that had a chip in the lip of the glass and cut my mouth no drama really didnt have to go to hospital or anything just cut my lip but it was bleeding and i was fairly cheesed off at the attitude i got back off the bar man..didnt even say sorry or give me a free drink . Just poured it a fresg cocktail glass. I tld him that i wanted a fresh drink and said how did i know that the broken bit of glass wasnt in my actual cocktail? Vailid point i thought.. Anyway got a fresh drink had to pay for it fair enough still didnt even say sorry . Then my friend natalie slipped on the floor coming out of the toilet bacause some idiot had left a drink on the floor and it got knocked over and there was a broken glass that she could have cut herself on.. Told the same bar man about it and they did nothing. Then 20 mins later i went to the toilets which are a health hazard by the way and it still hadnt been cleared up. Left and went to blu bar much nicer.
