The Circle Club
Our The Circle Club Review
A private members club that boasts strong ties with local media, arts and musicians - internally beautiful, with striking glass tables and very good use of space - the venue also boasts a private meeting room, wireless adsl throughout, and a well-priced restaurant. Admittance is only to members, however well-heeled mancunians could probably squeze a guestlist place with a boastful phone call. Drinks prices are very reasonable for a venue of this calibre, recent outings to Circle have become rather extended due to their 2-for-1 cocktail offers, which are lovingly prepared. Circle also manages to throw away the old image of members bars, and has some seriously funky DJs at a weekend. Highly Recommended

The Circle Club tries its best to be a cut above the rest, it has an excellent sound system and equally excellent bar, the interior is very nice, problem is that every night seems to be the same, its filled with regular 'groups' of people who all know each other and won’t talk to anyone they don't know, if you want to meet new people then Circle is not your club, it is also a small venue which becomes crammed when full and it does not take much to fill it, it is also sneaky in the sense that they have a doubles bar - there is nothing wrong with a doubles bar but they don't tell you this, staff will probably refuse to offer single drinks and charge you extortionate prices for doubles, also sneaky that the only seating areas are booths, hence if you don't book one and its busy - you will have to stand all night, also sneaky as they offer free hall hire - the catch is that there is a minimum spend, the VIP access will cost you more if you are not a full member but it is not really worth it as again it’s in a small space with nothing much to offer except more private booths, looks like the Circle even fails to attract celebrities on a regular basis unless it’s the girls from Holly-oaks, its needs to accept the fact that it might be a private club, but is certainly not an exclusive one…

Truly dreadful - don't waste your time. Empty, boring, and full of wannabe's glaring at each other - if you want celebs go to Panacea, if you want a decent night try anywhere else in town. 0/10.

Was unimpressed with this venue. Whilst the decor was above average, and service was good, the very impolite door-people put this venue on par with the 'alcoscum' bars of Deansgate/Peter Street. Didn't particularly care for some of the clientel, who looked like they were ready to take someone out.

Wow!!! what a place..drinking and dancing until 4.00am!! Got in with a member and had a great time. Music was great, atmosphere was great, staff were very nice. whats this about the doorstaff..they were very polite and helpful to people who had membership or were on the guest list..too many pretenders trying to get in...stay in sugar lounge!! well done to the owners!!!

Manchester is now full of 'Southern plastic bar bores' who are changing my city which was once full of charm.
Get a grip... Leave them to it in the smelly garbage alley.

Trash. Few people in there actually work in the media - cos I do, and I don't recognise anyone in there. Only two reporters from the GMG have ever been. More pretenders and clones than Sugar Lounge. Shame.

Not the best, full of pretentious Knobs and pretneders. All in all you want to go somewhere to let you hair down and have a laugh not just to stand and look like a plastic wax work!

What a load of *****, I dont know why anyone would want to pay good hard earned money for a "private club" that has no real networking between people, has none of the benifits of a private club...... but good news you get discounted cinema tickets....well thank the lord!!!!!!

A great bar. Nice and chilled and you can be fairly sure that they'll be no issues. Yes it does attract some pretentious, love-myself idiots, but then again you also get some of the finest looking girls. Don't go here if you're looking for a cheap night, but personally I'd rather pay extra for a better bar.

Fierce venue. Great crowd, beautiful people and no hassle getting in providing you are a member (like me) or are cheeky enough to blag the guest list!!!
I agree with Sophie, excellent cocktails to sample and funky ass music.

Yet again the circle has surpassed my expectations of it, lunch with a client was memorable due to the excellent service, amazing standard of presentation and quality of the food itself. All this was topped off perfectly by the bill at the end coming in at just under 20 quid! It's a credit to you.
