Our The Horse and Jockey Review

Having been on the spot for the last 400 years the Horse and Jockey has been a place to visit for Mancunians as long as Manchester has existed. Very much like a country pub inside, the Horse and Jockey comes into it's own during th esummer when everyone sits out on the green and enjoys the warm eveings. A great place for socialising and occasional celebrity spotting - Badly Drawn Boy played an accoustic gig there in front of 30 people a couple of weeks ago.

I live in Chorlton at the moment but have to move house soon. I won't move out of Chorlton because I don't want to move away from the Horse and Jockey. Nuff said.

I work in the horse and jockey and would advise either a friday or sunday night visit, this is when the pub's atmosphere is at it's best. Enjoy a huge variety of peeps who r up 4 a laugh!

This pub attracts all types of people from all walks of life and the green in front brings everyone together like a family - it's not expensive either!

Used to be good but now they got a fat dj who's sh*te on thursdays and plays a jive bunny megamix. Bring back Owen. Their can be only one. Owen is the quiz master.

The only thing wrong with this pub is its relatively small size apart from that its a very good pub with top atmosphere and very friendly staff

what a fantastic pub - DJ Owen is back on a Thursday, DJ Ken is fab on a Sunday, manager and staff are brill - well worth a night out!!
