The Rembrandt
Our The Rembrandt Review
Something of a legend among the gay scene, whilst Manto kickstarted the 'trendy' village the Rembrandt was one of the bars that kick started the actual village! It hasn?t changed much over the years, and is still quite quiet during the week, with events on at the weekend. A hotel upstairs gives you somewhere to stay, whilst they also serve good food during the day and into the evening. It's not the most exciting place on the planet, but then sometimes that's not what you're looking for!

This sounds a bit boring. Not my type of thing.

isn't reviewing a place you've never been to a bit pointless?

We love it! Coming across from Newcastle to stay at the hotel this weekend, best brekkies ever and the pub is poss. the most friendly we've been to in the area ;))

This was the original "Mans" Bar, and still is to some extent.
Shame that straight couples come in to "look at the queers"
Go there on May 1 Bank holiday, it'll be full to the rafters with Bears
