The Spread Eagle
Our The Spread Eagle Review
Not really for the same crowd as Polar Bar and Idaho, The Spread Eagle is a Holts pub that boasts cheap drinks, lots of old people enjoying the cheap drinks and not too uch more. Fine enough and worth popping in for a quick one if you're in the area.

The landlady, Bess has turned this pub around. You will find a big cross section of punters, from friendly down to earth locals to unpretentious barristers all enjoying the landlady's true warm welcome, give it a try.

Heard they did Salsa lessons here, dropped in, saw someone who took my e.mail address.

It all depends on what you're looking for! After a mad weekend in town with loads of loud tunes and spaced out students, it might be the cheap ale, old dudes and lack of bangin house that brings you back down to earth. No pretentious t*ssers here, just t*ssers, is that so bad?

full of broken arrows, they don't work so you can't fire them. Cheap beer isn't always a good thing.

Frienfly bar staff, traditional Holts bitter, a beer patio and and average age of punter at around 73 guaranteeing a relaxed drinking environ. What more could you ask for (apart from some women under the age of 50!)

This is probably the least pretentious pub in Chorlton, more Stretford than Chorlton. Top working class pub, without attitude!
