Our Clique Review

From its humble beginnings at Joshua Brooks, Clique has gone on to become a phenomenon. The club's 'please dress up for dancing' manifesto has attracted one of the best looking crowds in Manchester. Rather than fake tan and poker straight hair, the Clique posse is made up of fashion students, vintage molls and the kind of person who can carry off a cravat. It's not only about fashion though; the music policy encompasses everything from forgotten 1980's pop gems to white labels and rare-as-hens-teeth bootlegs, meaning there is plenty to get excited about on the dance floor. With praise flooding in from The Guardian and Mixmag (who voted Clique one of their CLubs of the Year 2007), this club is well worth the tiny door tax.
