Our Poptastic Review:
Establishing itself as something of a phenomenon in the gay scene, Poptastic has been exported to 5 other UK cities, but remains strongest in its home city of Manchester.
Base of the famous ShagTags, and with two rooms dedicated to completely different sounds, it manages to satisfy all tastes, and with a slightly older crowd than the Student friendly Tuesday night, this is one night of cheap drinks and quality music that shouldn't be missed.
The crowd is friendly, with a mix of homo's, hetro's and don't knows, and the delightful mix of el cheapo drinks, shagtags, and general horniness means that your chances of scoring are greater than United's.

Quite cheap for a Saturday night, although it's up to ?7 in all drinks are ?1.50!Very good night, one of the few places in The Village to play Indie Music (along with a few excellent nights eg DiskoRenegade - randommusic.org.uk) One of the few truly gay nights in the village for those of you who haven't Come Out yet.

you cant beat the great music if you get bored of the cheese just change rooms. it sells my favourite drink cheeky vimto. just a shame its not bigger because it gets so packed on a saturday.

So busy on Saturday don't expect to be able to get to the bar let alone dance. Great music but could do with a bit more dance space.

Poptastic Rules,It's got everything from indie to Cheesy pop what else do you need. Drink and Kylie a night couldn't be arranged any better. you'll normaly find me in the pop room dancing to Kylie or steps every saturday night. Basicly if your looking for a club to go to on a saturday night Pop's the best place in town if not the UK.

Poptastic is the best night out ever!!! It's just so friendly. I love it, I love the music. Everyone else copies it now (e.g. Essential have copied Poptastic's Kitsch Bitch Lounge with a "Pop Lounge") but nowhere could beat the fantastic atmosphere that Poptastic has. xxx
