Sankeys have announced that they are bringing their weekly Tribal Sessions events to a close.
The closing party for the weekly sessions will be on May 23rd with Trentmoller, Greg Vickers and Mistress De Funk. The following Friday there is a Prostitutes and Policemen event with The Count and Sinden live. Greg told AfterDark that Sankeys "are bringing Tribal Sessions to a weekly end after 8 years. It’s come to a logical progression for us to do this. We want to put on one great party each month, with the music we like and having our friends at the party. Loyal followers of Tribal shouldn't be too downhearted as it will become a monthly event alongside Bugged Out and two parties that are new to the club. Greg admitted that there are "a lot of great new promoters out there and it’s as much a buzz giving these people the opportunities they deserve and watch the club move forward."
The new line-up for Fridays is to become Tribal Sessions, Bugged Out, Sequence and Sucio Ritmo. While the first two are very familiar to Sankeys' crowd, many readers of AfterDark will also have heard of Sequence, whose techno nights have previously been held at The Warehouse Project and The Club. Sucio Ritmo may be a new name, but the promoters are the crew from the Filthy Sessions events that have been held at Sankeys. Greg promises that they will be "four different nights musically, but all with common ground.”
